Split a PDF into multiple files

Choose the split mode that matches your goal. Split at selected pages creates custom sections at the page breaks you choose. Split every N pages creates a new file after the page count you choose.

Split at selected pages

  • Step 1 - Add the PDF you want to split.
  • Step 2 - Keep "Split at selected pages" selected.
  • Step 3 - Click the split points between pages in the preview to create custom sections.
  • Step 4 - Click "Split into XX PDFs".
  • Step 5 - Download each output file or download all of them in a ZIP file.

Split every N pages

  • Step 1 - Add the PDF you want to split.
  • Step 2 - Select "Split every N pages".
  • Step 3 - Enter how many pages each output PDF should contain.
  • Step 4 - Click "Split into XX PDFs".
  • Step 5 - Download the individual files or the complete ZIP archive.

The original PDF remains unchanged. Review the output names and page counts before sharing them. If a result is still too large, use Reduce PDF Size on that output.
